Run NOW: How to be a Campaign Manager
In the summer of 1966, a group of tenacious women convened in Washington, D.C. to discuss their immense frustration on the status of women’s rights and equality in the United States. A bold vision emerged from this talk: empower and mobilize a grassroots network of activists to fight for equality – a mission that officially established the National Organization for Women (NOW).
NOW members Dr. Pauli Murray, Betty Friedan, Shirley Chisholm, and Catherine East were NOW members who made history on the frontlines fighting for change, advising leaders behind the scenes, and running for office at the local, state, and national levels. Now is the time to harness their passion and turn it into action. We are asking our changemakers to RUN NOW.
RUN NOW is a virtual, campaign training program to teach participants how to run for office and how to become professional campaign operatives.
Current NOW members can join all RUN NOW virtual trainings for free.
In 2022, from March – September there will be two, 60-minute, virtual training sessions a month on Tuesdays:
- One power hour lunch training at 1:30 ET / 10:30 PT
- One evening training session at 7:00 ET / 4:00PT
Prospective candidates and future campaign employees will have the opportunity to learn the full mechanics of campaigning from experts and thought leaders from top leading political organizations.
We are calling on our Young Feminists, NOW leaders, and NOW members to RUN NOW and get involved in the 2022 elections.
As the United States’ largest grassroots feminist organization, the NOW community is made up of thousands of smart, driven, and talented changemakers. RUN NOW will be a catalyst to motivate more feminists to run for office and to lead winning campaigns in local, state, and national races.
