You Alright, Fam? A Community Conversation about Black Mental Health
Join us on Wednesday, February 22 from 6pm-7pm for a community conversation with Disability Lead, UIC’s Disability Cultural Center, the Disabled People of Color Coalition. Hear from panelists, representing professionals, academics, and persons with lived experience in mental health, discuss topics centered around mental health.
They will address questions including:
- Is it possible to receive trauma-informed, culturally relevant care?
- How does grief shape our lives and mental health?
- Is postpartum depression/anxiety/psychosis common, and what are ways to cope while experiencing it?
