National Bullying Prevention Month is an annual campaign held each October to raise awareness about bullying and promote kindness, acceptance, and inclusion.
During National Bullying Prevention Month, various activities and events take place to shine a spotlight on the issue and its impact on young people. These include:
- Unity Day: Oct 22. A signature event where people are encouraged to wear orange to send a universal message of unity, kindness, and acceptance.
- Educational resources: Organizations
StopBullying.gov offer toolkits, lesson plans, videos, and other resources to help educators and parents address bullying.
- School-wide events: Schools participate by hosting activities, discussions, and pledges to foster a positive, bully-free environment.
- Partnerships: The campaign gains support from numerous partners, including social media platforms, media outlets, and celebrities.
